Vacation Bible School
Join us as we venture onto an uncharted island where kids survive and thrive. Kids will anchor in the truth that Jesus carries them through life’s storms. We will be exploring the island nightly July 30-August 3 from 6-8:30pm. Kids who are registered by July 22 will receive a special gift the first night they attend VBS, Registration is available online at:
https://vbspro.events/p/events/kcn2018

We are also in need of volunteers!  Volunteers need to be registered TODAY so that we can plan appropriately for the number of workers we’ll have available. If you plan to volunteer (this includes teenagers) you are required to complete a NazSafe training session. You can register as a volunteer online at: https://vbspro.events/p/events/kcn2018

VBS Decorating
Saturday, July 21 we will have a day
devoted to decorating for VBS. There is something for everyone to help with, no matter physical limitations. The decorations really help set the tone for the week and the kids absolutely love them! Decorating will start at 9:00 am. If you have any questions, please see Carolyn Wesson or Connie Friesen.

VBS Worker’s Meeting
Next Sunday, July 22, there will be an informational meeting for ALL VBS volunteers.
f you can make it, please attend! This helps everyone get on the same page and
ensure VBS is a success!

VBS Program
On August 5, the kids will present the annual VBS Program at 10:45 am.
There will be no Sunday School this day.

Thank You
Thank you for going above and beyond for providing food for the Mattie Phillips
funeral meal. You showed how much the church loves people.
Your support and love is seen and appreciated.

Miracles
1) Get ready for them: Look to and talk with God about needs
2) Get set: Believe that God will answer
3) Go!: Do something in faith about the need

Sanctity of Life
Today is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. This day was created as an act of love in response to the Roe v. Wade decision by the Supreme Court to legalize abortion in the United States.  The Bible tells us that we are created & purposed from our mother's womb, but the dignity of life goes so far beyond that. We are called to be voices & advocates for all life,
& especially for those who cannot speak for themselves. When we choose to see people as God does, we are moved to love others in a way that honors our creator. Being pro-life is a worldview -a life view- that should transcend culture, class, race, age & opinion.

Trunk or Treat
Tonight is our Trunk or Treat outreach ministry event! WE NEED YOU! We had over 200 people come last year. This year we expect even more. We need to know if you are coming (if you have to sit for the duration of the event—that’s okay!)  Volunteers need to be at the church no later than 4:15 pm.

This is an outreach ministry and we need all hands  on deck to help make this a success. This is our first opportunity to live out the Heart to Heart life as a church. We can’t touch other people’s lives without giving of ourselves.

Candy/Baked Goods Donations
If you are planning to donate baked goods or candy, we need it here at the church no later than 3:30 pm. Containers are still available in the foyer for baked goods for the cake walk.

Trunks
We need people willing to get festive and decorate their trunks! If you’ve waited until the last minute to decide you want to do a trunk but don’t have decorations, let us know and we will help you find something downstairs.

Volunteers
No matter your abilities, skills, or limitations there is a volunteer opportunity for everyone! We need volunteers for everything from running games, to greeting people, to people who can monitor the church for us. Everyone can help!

We need volunteers to man these games/stations.
Pick one or we can make a suggestion.

Ball Toss
Feed the Monster
Monster Putt
Ping Pong Toss
Spinning Targets
Temporary Tattoos

Saving energy 1 Bulb at a time!
We are taking donations to help buy light bulbs for Africa Nazarene University to help cut their electricity bill. These bulbs are $10.00 each. Our goal is $6oo. We will present this money to Rob North when he is our speaker on Sunday, November 5. You can see how much progress we’ve made towards our goal by looking at the poster located at
the front of the sanctuary.

T-Shirts
If you paid for your shirt, you can find it in your box by the fellowship hall. Those not paid can be picked up in the foyer AFTER the service today.

Helping Hands
Helping Hands are in need of the basics; peanut butter, canned goods and items for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. There is a donation box in the Fellowship Hall.
