Church EventsAdult Mission Lesson There will be an adult mission lesson at 6:00 pm tonight. The lesson will be held here at the church and Connie Friesen will be giving the lesson. Children’s Camp Children’s Camp will be held July 1-5. Regular registration must be mailed by June 18 and will be $230. No registrations after June 18. Sunday School One of our two adult Sunday School classes, The Branches, is starting a study of “The Beatitudes-Living a Blessed Life”. This is a 7-week study from the Foundry/Nazarene Publishing House. June 10 - Those Who Mourn June 17 - The Meek June 24 - The Righteous & Merciful July 1 - The Pure in Heart July 8 - The Peacemakers July 15 - The Persecuted NazSafe Training Sunday, June 24 from 3:30-5:30pm we will be holding a NazSafe Training. Anyone on a board/committee or who works with children/youth is required to take this training. Pastor Powell would ideally like all members of our congregation to attend this session so that they are informed and aware. Church Events Hanging of the Greens Today we will begin our Advent journey. Our annual Hanging of the Greens service walks us through the meaning and history behind many of the Christmas decorations we use. Christmas Parade Reception This Tuesday, November 28, we will host our annual Christmas Parade Reception. We hope you will be able to join us as we welcome the community into our church following the Christmas Parade. This is always a fun event with lots of potential to meet new people from within our community. The sign up sheet for cookies is in by the Fellowship Hall This is always a big event for us and we need as much help as we can get. Whether you bake cookies, help set up, help serve, or help with clean up. We appreciate the volunteers who make this event possible! Church EventsTrunk or Treat Tonight is our Trunk or Treat outreach ministry event! WE NEED YOU! We had over 200 people come last year. This year we expect even more. We need to know if you are coming (if you have to sit for the duration of the event—that’s okay!) Volunteers need to be at the church no later than 4:15 pm. This is an outreach ministry and we need all hands on deck to help make this a success. This is our first opportunity to live out the Heart to Heart life as a church. We can’t touch other people’s lives without giving of ourselves. Candy/Baked Goods Donations If you are planning to donate baked goods or candy, we need it here at the church no later than 3:30 pm. Containers are still available in the foyer for baked goods for the cake walk. Trunks We need people willing to get festive and decorate their trunks! If you’ve waited until the last minute to decide you want to do a trunk but don’t have decorations, let us know and we will help you find something downstairs. Volunteers No matter your abilities, skills, or limitations there is a volunteer opportunity for everyone! We need volunteers for everything from running games, to greeting people, to people who can monitor the church for us. Everyone can help! We need volunteers to man these games/stations.
